fabric experimentation

I decided to experiment with the Superdry garment by bleaching to see if I could get a lighter colour so that the fabric would work better with my other fabrics. I cut the cuff from one of the sleeves to begin to experiment before taking to the whole garment, because the Superdry garment was 50% merino and 50% wool, I started by soaking the cuff in a bleach bath of 2 parts bleach and 8 parts water. The resulting colour had a raw yellow tint to it. After repeating the process, increasing the bleach concentration, the colour lightened further up to the point that it is in the images below. The original colour of the garment was a much lighter colour and a closer match to my other fabrics.

Comparison images of the colour change.
