Using the jersey I'll be using for the gathers on the skirt, I've sewn some simple short shorts that will sit underneath the mini skirt and attach to the waistband to make the skirt more functional. As I'm up cycling the garments to wear myself, I used my own measurements for the pattern to ensure a correct fit.
