Millennial's clothing choices are statements of minimalism and basic options like jeans and a t-shirts. Gen Z goes further with various styles, patterns, and textures. Gen Z are known for not being afraid of trying new styles. Gen Z are also known of bringing back styles from different generations like the 90's and 2000's.

Athleisure, a stylish version of exercise clothing, is a huge trend among Gen Z shoppers. Whether it's bike shorts or coordinated leggings and crop tops, they're one of the biggest trends among Gen Z consumers. "Gen Z fashion is very casual and slightly sexier than older generations were dressing at their age," Samantha Brown, a New York-based celebrity stylist. As mentioned in a previous blog post, social media is the main cause for this, "as celebrities share these trends with immediate reach."

Early 2000's-inspired trends are also making their way back into style. Denim on denim, prints, rhinestones and everything pink are all included in the Gen Z trend. The growing Gen Z market happens to be the Y2K trends biggest lifeline, within an industry that seems eager to leave 2000's fashion in the dust. Y2K style was blacklisted as dated almost before the end of the decade, compared to the timelessness of the 90's trends.
